DUNEDIN, FL, USA (JUNE 17, 2010) -
Dunedin Lodge No. 192 F.& A.M. may be
dark for the summer, but there is still a lot of activity going on there. For example, the
Lodge used its down time to replace the aging carpet in the Lodge room. The project was under
the supervision of W:.Ken Giesow, PM.
Carpets by French was selected as
the vendor to install the new carpeting. All of the carpeting in the Lodge Room was replaced.
including the stations in the East, West, South (and North). As a footnote, this was the first
replacement of the Lodge's carpeting since it was originally installed in the new Lodge building in
1964 (that's right, our old carpeting lasted 46 years).
The new carpeting was installed in time for our upcoming 100 Master Mason Night to be
held Monday, August 16th at 7:00pm. Last year, we had 126 Brothers fill the sidelines. This
year, we hope to beat that number. This event will also mark the first official visit of the
new District Deputy Grand Master for District 20, our own R:.W:.Bob Matheson, PM,
a Past Master of Dunedin Lodge (2005). Dinner is at 6:00pm. We hope you will join us.

who made a vain attempt of absconding the gavel.
The Traveling Gavel is one of two gavels sanctioned by the
SunCoast Masters & Wardens Association (representing Florida's Districts 20 & 21). The
"Traveling Gavel," requires a Lodge to fetch it from another Lodge, the "Hot Gavel" must be disposed of

DUNEDIN LODGE 'ENERGIZES' THE REC HALL
DUNEDIN, FL, USA (February 21, 2010) - In an effort to curb rising energy costs
Dunedin Lodge No. 192 F.& A.M. has just completed a major project to insulate the Rec Hall and added new window treatments.
As was becoming apparent, the Rec Hall had become a source of significant energy loss, particularly
noticeable during the summer months and this past frigid January. This has led to much higher
energy bills. To this end, the Lodge voted to add insulation and replace the windows in the Rec Hall and
kitchen. The old windows were a part of the Lodge since 1964 and had become ineffective in keeping energy inside
the building. Block windows were installed in the back windows and kitchen, and new double-paned sash windows
were installed on the East side of the building, including both the Rec Hall and Administrative offices.
In addition to better energy efficiency, the windows are more secure and less likely to be broken into.
The Brethren did the prep work by removing the old ceiling tiles and installing new tiles after
the insulation had been pumped in. A tip of the hat goes to the following Brothers for their
efforts:
W:.Ken Giesow, PM - who spearheaded the effort
Thank you Brothers for all your efforts. They are greatly appreciated.
